MY PILATES PHILOSOPHY
Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I was first introduced to Pilates as a form of conditioning while training in classical ballet as a child, and it quickly became an essential part of how I moved, trained, and cared for my body. That foundation — built on control, precision, and body awareness — has stayed with me throughout my life.

A Teacher First
Before becoming a Pilates instructor, I spent ten years working as a secondary high school teacher after completing a Bachelor of Education. Teaching is second nature to me — I understand how people learn, how to communicate clearly, and how to meet individuals where they are.
This background strongly shapes how I teach Pilates today. I don’t just demonstrate movements; I explain them in ways that are clear, relatable, and easy to understand, helping clients truly connect to what they’re doing and why it matters.

Training & Approach
Alongside my teaching career, I continued to deepen my Pilates practice and formal training.
I hold a Certificate III in Fitness, which provided a strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics, and intelligent programming for different muscle groups and bodies. I am also qualified in Reformer Pilates, and teach both mat and reformer-based sessions.
My movement background is grounded in classical Pilates principles, shaped by decades of mat practice and ballet training. At the same time, teaching and practising reformer Pilates has led me to embrace a more contemporary Pilates approach — one that allows sessions to remain dynamic, engaging, and adaptable.
The result is a teaching style that balances precision with energy, structure with creativity, and tradition with modern movement science.
